Philip Lawson Johnston is an associate fellow of the Guild of Glass Engravers and has exhibited around the world. Being self-taught, he has been engraving glass by hand since 1971.

Philip works to commission and will hand engrave a wide variety of subjects on any good quality piece of glass, from the individual wine goblet or presentation bowl to large-scale panels and doors. He is able to supply glass, and when required, he can have pieces specially made.

He has completed numerous commissions for individuals, as well as trophies and commemorative pieces for companies and institutions.

Philip exhibits annually in London at the Ebury Galleries and at private exhibitions in the UK and abroad (See Events).

My intention is to create on glass, designs that not only are pleasing to the eye and accurate in what they are portraying, but also reflect in some way the care and attention to detail of the Creator that we observe in the world around us.
